Members placed at schools and nonprofit agencies recruit volunteers, tutor, assist with youth development, organize activities and service projects, and much more! Duties will vary based on site placement.
Qualifications:
- US citizen, national, or permanent resident alien
- Minimum age of 17
- High School diploma or equivalent, some positions require college coursework or degree
- Strong desire to provide service to the community
Fulltime Positions:
Benefits include: Living allowance, $4,725 education award, paid health insurance and child care (for those who qualify), loan forbearance, paid personal and professional development training throughout term, and member gear package.
Halftime Positions:
Benefits include: Living allowance, $2362.50 education award, loan forbearance, paid personal and professional development training throughout term, and member gear package.
Minimum Time Positions:
Minimum time AmeriCorps Sites can be almost any nonprofit, school, or public agency. Students who are required to do unpaid internships are encouraged to apply. Benefits include: $1000 education award, loan forbearance, paid personal and professional development training, and member gear package.

To apply online, print out the following instructions (steps 1-10) for reference as you complete the online application:
1. To apply, click on the following link: https://my.americorps.gov/mp/recruit/registration.do
2. Create your profile.
3. An email will be sent to you to complete your online profile.
4. Click on the link in the email to create a user name and password.
5. Click on Applications on the left side of the page to complete your online application.
6. Click on Search Listings on the left side of the page.
7. In the Program Name box, type in UW Oshkosh.
8. Choose any of the listings and click the Apply Now button.
9. Certify all of your information is correct and click Submit.
10. Check to be sure it has been submitted to UW Oshkosh AmeriCorps Connects by clicking on “My Submissions” on the left side of your account.
