The Caregiver Train the Trainer workshops qualify for continuing education units (CEUs) through the University of Wisconsin-Extension.  UW-Extension awards one CEU for every 10 contact hours in a continuing education experience. 

Although UW-Extension CEUs fulfill continuing education requirements for many licensed professionals, e.g., social workers, individuals should contact their licensing board or association before assuming UW-Extension CEUs will fulfill all requirements.

CEU application forms will be available at the training.  UW-Extension charges a fee to process the forms.

Certificates of Completion will be provided to all workshop participants, whether or not the participant requires CEUs.

NOTE: Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Resident Assistants and other non-credentialed staff do not need CEUs to meet annual continuing education requirements when working in facilities such as nursing homes and CBRFs.  Check with your employer before assuming this training will fulfill continuing education requirements.
