UW Oshkosh Caregiver Project Staff Biographies

Gay Pustaver, is a training facilitator with the project and has been a trainer for UW Oshkosh CCDET since 1996, covering a wide variety of topics for W-2 workers, child support workers and caregivers. Her personal experience with caregivers includes her mother's 13 year residence in a nursing home, eventually succumbing to Alzheimer's disease. She has a BS and MA in Sociology from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois. She is also a certified Custody Mediator and has served Door County, WI in that capacity for 22 years. In addition, Gay recently retired as Executive Director of a non-profit budget and credit counseling agency and is a certified consumer credit counselor, housing counselor and student loan debt counselor. She has facilitated Caregiver and Dementia-related trainings since 1999.

Brandi Davis, is a training facilitator with the project and recently joined the UW Oshkosh CCDET team in July, 2018. Brandi has a degree in Meeting & Event management and has worked in health and human services in a variety of fields for over 16 years. In her past, she worked as the Education Director with the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association (WALA) where she was the project manager of the first state-approved administrator course. Since that time, she has worked as an independent consultant training management and care staff as well as writing curriculum that supports leaders and caregivers in their work in the assisted living and long-term care industry. She volunteers by offering training and curriculum writing with the Wisconsin Women's Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) in the Madison area.
