Supplemental Instruction (SI) and Peer Educator Review Sessions (PERS)

Weekly Opportunities to Review Course Content

The SI and PERS programs consist of regular review sessions for selected 100- and 200-level courses with large enrollments.

SI and PERS leaders are students who have done well in the courses previously and are trained to facilitate group review sessions.

The SI and PERS leaders help the students review the course materials and share the strategies that they used to be successful in the course so that students can learn more efficiently.

Peer Educator Review Sessions (PERS):

Supplemental Instruction (SI):

PERS is held once-a-week for 90 minutes.
The PERS leader meets with the professor of the specific course once-a-week to go over the course materials and to determine the focus of the weekly review sessions.

The professor of the specific course determines the content of the weekly review session.

SI is held multiple-times-each week, depending on the number of regular course meetings each week.
There may be additional sessions for exam reviews.
The SI Leader re-attends the lectures and determines the content of the weekly review sessions.
