Grant Support for Curriculum Development

“’A Canadian Initiative’: Dialogue and Exchange between Wisconsin and Quebec” (2002-2003) $6,000 from The UW System Institute for Global Studies supported a collaborative grant with the University of Wisconsin-Superior to establish an intensive study abroad in Quebec for students from both universities.

“Border Crossings: Conversations about the Formation of Cultural Identities, Seminars Linking the Midwest and Maritimes” (2001-2002) $6,000 from The UW System Institute for Global Studies supported collaboration with colleagues at the University of New Brunswick to develop links among faculty and students. Because of the aftermath of the tragedy of September 11, 2001, the project was postponed by permission of Institute for Global Studies until 2002-2003.

“Model Study Abroad” (2000-2001) $6,000 from The UW System Institute for Global Studies supported collaboration with colleagues at the University of New Brunswick to develop the student exchange program (initiated fall 1999), to make colleagues on both campuses aware of the developing institutional relationship, and to enlist faculty at UW Oshkosh to support the Canada-US Studies initiative.
