Check out what each of us has to say about ourselves...

Dr. Jeanie Grant Moore - English
Jeanie Grant Moore (Assistant Professor of English, University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh; Ph.D. University of California, Riverside) teaches Shakespeare and other British literature courses; she especially enjoys helping students overcome Shakespeare-phobia.  She has published articles on Shakespeare and Renaissance literature.  In the Spring of 1997 she led twenty U W Oshkosh students on a Literary Study Tour to England.  A dedicated Anglophile, she is thoroughly enjoying the semester abroad.

STUDENTS

Jessica Abbott

Denise Campbell
I'm a senior at UWO majoring in history, political science, and English.  I hope to attend graduate school and become a professor of Renaissance literature.  I came to Cambridge because of my love of all things British especially tea, Shakespeare, and the Beatles.

Jeri Capek
I'm 23 years old, and at year five, I'm about half way through my undergraduate program.  (I took time off.)  I'm studying British literature and I have a particular fondness for the likes of Bacon, Jonson, Donne, and Milton.  The things I want most to see in England are John Milton's grave, The British Library and Museum, and The Beatles' Museum in Liverpool.  I'd also like to count the holes in the Royal Albert Hall, walk across Abbey Road, and visit Apple Records in London.  And, if I'm ever in a picture, I'm ususally the one wearing the hat.

Keith Chevalier
Keith Chevalier, great grandson of Maurice, has played Hamlet many times in short productions.  His shutter clicks incessantly, as his photographs record the best of Cambridge.  He sleeps while others wait.

William Croke
Good Day, I am a 21 year old History/Philosophy major.  I enjoy technical theatre, and reading.  I grew up in Mequon Wis.  I am really enjoying seeing all the sites and hope to see more of Europe as time goes on.  I came to England to experience a different people and Culture, as well as have a lot of fun.  Oh yes, I am on the Cambridge baseball team. Wish us luck against Oxford.  Cheers!

Heather Groschopf
I am currently a fifth year student at UW Oshkosh and am happily going on my twentieth now. I am an English major with my emphasis leaning towards two very different categories: Literary Criticism and Middle English Literature. I am a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honors society, and  I am enjoying the trip immensely in that it supports the literature and history that we are studying amply. Cheers!

Ethan Liebzeit
Secondary Education (History), sophomore, Appletonian.  To visit the British Isles has always been a dream of mine, a place of such unparalleled history and beauty.  Also, it's all about "Braveheart." What an awesome movie!!!  My goal is to sit on the rolling hills of Scotland in a kilt, made from the finest cloth, as the sun is descending and the bagpipes a playin'.  Cheers!!!

 Deborah Martin
Hi, I'm 22 and am finally finishing up my degree in English.  I used to really enjoy classic literature, until it became homework.  I'm from Arlington Hts. IL and I must say, London  makes Chicago look like a small town.  This is my last semester, and I am in Cambridge as the grand conclusion of my academic career...YAY!

Karie Orlowski
Karie Orlowski is enjoying Cambridge for the many opportunities it offers her to contemplate life.  Formally an employee of Firstar Bank, she is now a photographer of increasing excellence.  She has been sick twice, but not from booze because she hardly ever drinks.

Jessica Plamann
Secondary Education (English), sophmore, from Appleton. I really like British Lit. and so I  came here partly to see all the places that are associated with the authors. Another reason is that I really wanted to see London, which I now think is the best city in the world!!! I want to go to Ireland, Scotland, and France while I am here, and maybe I'll study a little. :-)

Kevin Poquette
I am an English/ Education major with a Library Science minor (please no  jokes about the dewey decimal system).  I plan on teaching high school  and maybe some college eventually.  England has always been a place that  I have wanted to visit and now i'm getting my chance.  I will not be returning, ever. I think I like it over here too much.

Karen Roe
I'm a senior English major.  I have been somewhat instrumental in putting this website together with Kyle.  I have approximately 50 disks full of pictures from our travels.  I'm studying abroad to enhance my understanding of British literature and history.  What a priceless journey this has been!!  It's great to see that so many people have checked out this website!
