University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in Cambridge University, England
Spring Semester 2000

Once again nineteen students and two professors from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh are spending spring semester at Hughes Hall, Cambridge University.  During the semester abroad, we are taking UW Oshkosh history and English courses taught by our two professors, Jeanie Grant Moore of the English Department and Andrew J. O'Shaughnessy of the History Department.  Our British history classes, British literature classes, and a team-taught class exploring British and American views of one another help us to understand the culture we are experiencing for twelve weeks.  Each week we take one or two day trips to sites relevant to our studies.  Housing is provided by Hughes Hall, one of the Cambridge colleges; we live and dine there along with Cambridge students from Britain and a variety of other countries.  In our spare time, we experience all that Cambridge has to offer.

We hope you enjoy this sample of our Cambridge life on our website for Cambridge, 2000.  You may also see highlights of our first semester abroad in 1999.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
The co-directors of this program and the Cambridge Semester Abroad students from 1999 and 2000 wish to thank Kyle Geisler for the hours he spent designing, creating, and maintaining this website.  We also very appreciate the able assistance of Karen Roe, who worked on both the 1999 and 2000 websites, and that of Ann Marie Johnson, who provided essential help for us in 2000.
