Wisconsin Area Heath Education Center's Community Health Internship Program

An 8-week long summer internship opporuntiy in a public health department in Wisconsin developing a research project to benefit both the student and the local health department.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Collegiate Leaders in Environmental Health (CLEH)

This is a 10-week summer environmental internship for undergraduate students majoring in Environmental Studies, Environmental Engineering, Ecology, or related fields who are passionate about the environment, about human health, and about the link between the two.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Summer Undergraduate Program in Environmental Health (SUPEH)

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Summer Undergraduate Program in Environmental Health is a 10-week summer internship for undergraduate students majoring in environmental health. Interns participate in activities with the Environmental Health Services Branch of CDC’s National Center for Environmental Health.

United States Enviornmental Health Protection (EPA)

Offers numerous opportunities for students to gain valuable work experience while contributing to the mission of protecting human health and safeguarding the environment. Student summer employment opportunities are available at EPA’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., and at regional office and laboratory locations nationwide.

U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) Commissioned Corps

Offers an internship program called the JRCOSTEP (Junior Commissioned Officer Student Training and Extern Program). The Environmental Health Officer category of the USPHS would like to invite students who are majoring in environmental health to apply for a JRCOSTEP opportunity.
