Undergraduate Programs of Study: Majors and Minors
NEWS FLASH! Beginning Fall 2010 we will have an Environmental Health Major
PROGRAMS OF STUDY
One strength of our program is that all students, regardless of interest, take the same core courses for their first year or more. That means that students don't have to declare an emphasis or even a major until their second year (or, in some cases, their third year) of college. Students will still be able to finish their degree within four years. Both the Counseling Center and Career Services can be very helpful for students who can't decide what field to follow!
Another strength is that students are trained broadly. Note that all students take classes in molecular, cell and organismal biology. This is especially important these days, because overlap of knowledge between fields is increasingly important!

The Core Courses (required of all our majors)
ALL FIRST YEAR STUDENTS SHOULD TAKE BOTH BIO 105 AND CHEM 105 DURING THEIR FIRST SEMESTER TO ENSURE TIMELY GRADUATION.
