Bio 111 & Bio 112 Changes

The hard choice made was to cancel BIO 111 and BIO 112 (Biology & Healthcare Orientations, respectively).  These were offered and taught during Fall 2011, but are NOT offered for Spring 2012 or after.

These cancellations ONLY affect students whose majors require BIO 111 or 112.

Students who have TAKEN BIO 111 or 112 ALREADY need do nothing.

Students who have NOT TAKEN BIO 111 or 112 YET must choose ONE of these TWO options:

#1: Remain in Catalog Year 2011 or earlier AND take 2 more credits of ANY biology course than you originally planned to take.   In other words, in “losing” the 2 cr of BIO 111 or 112, which you cannot now take as they are cancelled, you have to “make them up” with at least 2 cr of another biology course.

     ·      ANY other Biology course will serve the “make up” purpose!

#2: Change your Catalog Year to 2012.  This will automatically delete the requirement for BIO 111 or 112 from your major AND you do NOT need to “make up” the deleted 2 credits.
