Membership Requirements
In order to be inducted into of Beta Alpha Psi at the NATIONAL LEVEL, students must meet all of the criteria listed below. Students who do not meet all the requirements, are still welcome to participate in all local Beta Alpha Psi activities until they meet requirements.
1. Be a declared accounting major who has completed a minimum of two years of collegiate courses.
2. GPA of at least a 3.0* grade point average in all university courses attempted OR at least a 3.25 grade point average in all university courses attempted in the most recent academic terms that include 30 semester hours.
3. GPA of at least a 3.0* grade point average in all upper level accounting courses attempted.
4. Have completed at least one upper level accounting course.
5. Attend at least 70% of the semester’s planned activities AND at least 1 service or professional event NOT organized by BAP/IMA students.
6. Retain active member status (Requirements listed in number 5).
*Note that a grade point average below 3.0 (such as 2.99) does not meet the minimum requirements for undergraduate membership.
