For the Special Olympics, the club raises funds throughout various fund raising activities. Some of the proceeds come from our silent auction held during the Fall and the rest of the donations come from our club members asking for donations. Then we have volunteers that participate in the Plunge to support this cause.

Alzheimer Walk

As an Accounting Club, we recognize the importance of supporting our community. We encourage our members to get involved and support their community by volunteering. As a Club, we are very passionate about two organizations, which include: the Walk for Alzheimer's (during the Fall Semester) and the Special Olympics (during the Spring Semester with the Polar Plunge).

If you are interested in helping out at one of these events, please talk to one our current officers and sign up.

*Also, note that Volunteering is a requirement for BAP. If you are not able to attend one of the Accounting Club sponsored volunteer events, then you may participate in other volunteer activities. Just pick up and fill out the Volunteer Form and turn it into the BAP Reporter. Forms can be found in the Accounting Lab or the Bulletin Board. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact a club officer.

At the Alzheimer Walk, Club members assist with registration, provide information to walkers, and set up the course. The following video helps us to understand the importance of our work because of the impact this disease his on families.
