UW Oshkosh Sports Medicine
The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Sports Medicine team is committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality medical services to every student-athlete in a very timely fashion. On-site medical services provided include, but are not limited to, prevention, evaluation, and treatment of injuries and illnesses, rehabilitation services, pre-participation exams, nutritional counseling, psychological counseling, and drug education and counseling. The primary sports medicine team is comprised of a team physician, team orthopaedic physician and 4 state licensed athletic trainers. Our team works very closely with the Student Health Center on campus who provide physical exams, nutritional/ dietary counseling, mental health education and women’s health education. The team also works closely with other health care professionals throughout Oshkosh and the surrounding Fox Valley medical community. This professional staff is responsible for the healthcare and safety of over 600 student-athletes participating in 22 Division III sports in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference .
