Portfolio Review
All fine arts majors (BFA) will be required to take a Post-Foundation Portfolio Review. The review will take place after completion of the studio foundations courses (Art 111, 112, 114.) Passing the portfolio review is required for entry into the BFA program.

2D Studio Art Emphasis
Required Units (crs.): 82 minimum

- Art Studio Foundation Courses: Art 111, 112, and 114
- Art History Foundation Courses: Art 209 and 210
- Required Courses: Art 142, 234, three upper level Art History courses (310, 311, 312, 313, 314, 315, 317, 320, 321, 322, 323, 482), and 490
Required 2D Emphasis Courses: 30 credits required, with 12 credits from one of the following 2D areas and 3 credits from each of the other areas, and 9 credits electives
- Drawing: 204, 304, 334, 404, 434
- Painting: 241, 275, 341, 375, 441, 475
- Photography: 245, 345, 445
- Printmaking: 259, 260, 261, 262, 359, 360, 361, 362, 459, 460, 461, 462
3D Contrast Courses: Select 12 cr. from at least three of the following 3D areas
