Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science

Students may chose to take the art (general) major through either the Bachelor of Arts or the Bachelor of Science degree program. This degree is recommended for students who wish for a non-professional major in the studio area.

General Education Requirements

  • Required Units (crs.): 42 minimum
  • A minor is required with this major

 

Post-Foundation Portfolio Review

All art majors (BA and BS) will be required to take a Post-Foundation Portfolio Review. The review will take place after completion of the studio foundations courses (Art 111, 112,  114.) Passing the portfolio review is required for entry into the BA or BS program.

A. Select 18-21 credits from the following lists of studio courses. No more than 12 credits may be taken from any one of the three lists and a minimum of 6 credits must be at the 300 or 400 level.
