Submitting Work:
Each school may submit up to 8 pieces of the highest quality per teacher. Pieces submitted must meet High School Art Day Rules.

The Department of Art at UW Oshkosh cannot be responsible for loss of work.
- We ask each school to submit up to eight pieces of the highest quality per instructor. In selecting works, take into account the following:
- Skill in using the medium and consideration of aesthetics.
- Originality, innovative interpretation and representation of subject matter.
- Copied works from print and visual media will not be accepted. Categories: Ceramics, drawing, fibers, graphics, metals, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and video (VHS and DVD only).
- Please submit original student work only. Work copied from published photos should not be submitted. All art work submitted to the student show must be executed by the student.
- All artwork remains the property of the student submitting it. However, by submitting the work, the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh is granted the right to post an image of the work and the artist’s name on the High School Art Day website and to reproduce the image in future promotional materials for High School Art Day.
- A completed label (typewritten or printed clearly) must be attached to the back of each piece.
- A typed or printed inventory list must accompany each school’s entries at time of delivery. The inventory should include each student’s name, grade, title and media. If mixed media, please specify to facilitate identification of entries.
- All 2-D work is to be carefully matted in white, off-white, gray or black. Framed work must be wired for hanging (Plexiglas only). Dimensions of 2-D work are not to exceed 6 by 10 feet. 3-D work should not exceed 50 pounds and 3 feet in any direction. Video presentations should be no longer than five minutes.
- Teacher work submitted for the “High School Teachers’ Exemplar Exhibit” should be clearly identified and dropped off with student work. Please observe same size and weight restrictions as above. See Teachers’ Exemplar Exhibit for more information.
