Teachers' Exemplar Exhibit:

If you are submitting student work, please consider exhibiting one of your own assignment exemplars in the simultaneous show - "High School Teachers' Exemplar Exhibit.” This exhibit is intended to showcase the lesson plans and exemplars of our talented high school art teachers.

This year the 2-D and smaller 3-D pieces of the Teacher Exemplar Exhibit will be installed in the Reeve Union, Second Floor Gallery. The work should not exceed 7 feet by 5 feet. Special arrangements will be made for larger 3-D pieces.

Please drop off the work to the second floor gallery area between 2 and 6 pm on Friday, February 27th or between 9 am and noon on Saturday February 28th. You may pick up your work after the luncheon on High School Art Day, April 2nd or by making arrangements with the Steinhilber Gallery staff.

When work is submitted for the Teacher Exemplar Exhibit, it must include a lesson plan suitable for display and a second clean copy for photocopying. This way, the exhibit will also function as a teaching tool for University of Wisconsin Oshkosh pre-service art teachers and as a lesson plan exchange. Copies of lesson plans will be available on High School Art Day.

As an added incentive, Emmet Sandberg, the Steinhilber Art Gallery Director, has offered to video art teachers who would like to introduce and highlight their lesson in a concise one-minute statement. These videos will be then loaded onto the Steinhilber and High School Art Day websites. Please contact Mr. Sandberg (below) to set up an appointment on the day you drop off the work.

The Teacher Exemplar Exhibit will be installed in locked and secured cases. However, the UW Oshkosh Art Department, Steinhilber Gallery, and the Reeve Union cannot be responsible for loss of work.
