Assistant Professor Art - 2D Studio/Photography 022a.1112
University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Department of Art, 9 month, tenure-track, Assistant Professor position beginning September 1, 2012. This individual will have a strong intellectual and technical foundation in the field of photography who can address formal, conceptual and technical issues related to image making. This person will also have a broad knowledge and understanding of historical and contemporary fine arts photography.
Requirements: MFA in photography or related 2D studio area. Effective writing, communication and organizational skills. Ability to supervise, maintain, and improve traditional darkroom and digital photographic facilities. Three or more years teaching (beyond TA) preferred.
Responsibilities include teaching Photography, Introduction to Digital Arts, Art Appreciation, and additional Foundations courses, as needed; advising majors; committee work; scholarly and professional activity; and other service to the Department, College and University.
