After World War II, the Oshkosh State Teacher's college enjoyed stability unknown since before the depression. Back were the male students as well as some women returning to school now as Veterans and a new optimism about the future quickly spread through campus. Although the mission of the school was expanding into pre-professional preparation and in 1951, liberal arts, the activities of the students outside of the classroom picked up largely where they left off before the War. As part of her responsibilities as Dean of Women, Dr. Florence Case sought to encourage students to take advantage of the many extra-curricular activities the college had to offer. Toward those ends, Dean Case gave this untitled radio talk on February 5, 1948.
