Neenah Spends Quiet Fourth

Neenah spent the most quiet Fourth of July in the recollection of any of its inhabitants, at least the most quiet in many years. Nothing eventful occurred here over the weekend. So far as could be learned, there was not an accident in the city, either from fire works burns or explosions or from auto accidents. The police department did not make an arrest or receive a call from Friday night until this morning…

Celebrations in nearby cities attracted hundreds of Neenah people especially those at Appleton, and Winneconne and other hundreds left Friday or Saturday morning for a weekend in the north woods, at Lake cottages or on motor trips.
