The parade was headed by the Military band. Next in line came the Menasha Eagles, attired in white suits…. The sister city “birds” were followed by several trades’ unions. Next came the Danish brotherhood, Yeomen and then the Neenah Eagles with their famous fife and drum corps which made things lively during the entire march. Gaily decked with flags and bunting, the fire department, riding on the truck and steaming engine, presented a pretty and impressive sight. The city ambulance was also driven in the parade. Following came the floats of local merchants in the order given: H. L. Sorensen, E.E. Jandrey Co.; Anspach’s Department Store and Wm. Krueger Co.
Contests Interesting Amusement during the afternoon at Riverside park was furnished by several interesting races, contests, etc. A rope climbing contest, short dashes and swimming events all contributed to the enjoyment of the hundreds of people…. Dancing took place throughout the afternoon, continuous music being furnished by the orchestras.
