800 to 1,00 Aboard Boats The Twin Cities first Venetian night parade, climaxing Neenah's Independence Day celebration, was witnessed by an estimated 25,000 persons. A mass of humanity crowded the shores of Riverside park where the gaily lighted boats passed in review. Additional thousands viewed the parades from boats, from Doty park, the Oak st. bridge and from homes in the vacinity. Autos, many of them with out-of-state license plates were parked as far away as Laudan blvd. and Cecil st. Another estimated 800 to 1,000 persons were aboard boats or yachts that took part in the parade.
