Class Notes: 1960-1969 Graduates

1965

  • Mike Hille (EHS) retired after 33 years as the director of the Shawano City-County Library. (6-1-08)

1966

  • Michele (Dennis) Fawcett (EHS) hosted an Alethean Sorority reunion at her home in July. Thirty-three members from as far away as Atlanta, Denver, San Antonio and San Francisco attended. The group, which reunites every three years, includes the classes of 1966-1969. Alethean Sorority became Alpha Phi in 1966. (5-1-08)
  • Michael Kleinprintz (EHS) retired in June after nearly 40 years with Unisys Corporation in Eagan, Minn., in software procurement and asset management. (5-1-08)
  • Don Roll (EHS), MSE ’74, of Mayville resigned from the Mayville School District Board of Education after 12 years of service. He had worked for the rural schools in Hartford, Kekoskee, Brownsville, and Mayville for 37 years. (6-1-08)

1968

  • Wayne Wiegand (LS), F. William Summers Professor of Library and Information Studies at Florida State University and a director of the Florida Book Awards, received a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Humanities for 2008-2009. He will take a year off from lecturing at Florida State University to write “A People’s History of the American Public Library, 1850-2000.” (5-1-08)
