  •  Ryan Barkow (LS) and Emily Preissner (LS) ’08 plan to marry in October 2009. They met at UW Oshkosh during their freshman year. Ryan is a Revenue Officer for the Internal Revenue Service.
  •  Patrick Dench (B) is project manager at BOLD Technologies in Colorado Springs, Colo. He remembers well his former professor, Dr. Eierman, and is looking forward to using his project management education to use.
  •  Cindy Griswold MSN has joined ThedaCare Physicians in Clintonville as an advanced practice nurse practitioner.
  •  Stacey Gusman (MSN) is a family nurse practitioner for the Victory Medical Group in the Stanley and Owen clinics in Owen, Wisc.
  •  Ashley Veldboom(B) is an accounting manager at Lakeview Credit Union in Neenah.
  • Amelia Wolff (LS) wrote O’Dell and Myrna, a play recently performed at the UW Oshkosh Fredric March Theatre. She began writing the play as a project for a playwriting class.



  • Michael Anhalt (B) is part of the finance team at Johnsonville Sausage in Sheboygan Falls.
  • Carl Birkholz (LS) manages WG&R Sleepshop in Germantown.
  • Marisa Cuellar(LS) of Oak Creek, is enrolled at Marquette University Law School.
  •  Ashley (Wright) Nordwig (LS) and ’05 Brian Nordwig (B) were married July 26, 2008 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Watertown.
  •  Amanda (Wolf) Olsen (LS) and Joseph Olsen ’08 (LS) were married in June 2008. She is enrolled in the physician associate program of Yale Medical School. Joseph is doing research in the Yale Chemistry Department’s positron emission tomography lab.
  • Don Raine IV (B), of Clifton Gunderson’s Oshkosh office, has earned his certified public accountant certification.
  • Lauren Raupp (LS) is a legal assistant for a personal injury and medical malpractice law firm in downtown Chicago.
  • Drew Ritchie (LS) graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.
  • Douglas Rozelman (LS) participated in the inaugural Louisville Ironman Triathlon in May. He completed the 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride and 26.2-mile run in 12 hours, 58 minutes and six seconds to finish 14th in his age group.
  • Heidi Vandeslunt (LS) and (EHS) is a math and reading teacher in Mayville.  She and her husband, Scott Vandeslunt ’02 (LS), live in Fond du Lac.
  • Amanda Wolf (LS) who began the physician associate program at Yale University last fall, will marry Joseph Olsen in June.



  •  Erik Cieslewicz (LS) of Wausau, received two Associated Press Awards and a Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Award for his work as both a photographer and editor. He is a photojournalist for WSAW News Channel 7.
  • Alisha Cornford (LS) of Woodbury, Minn., is a supply chain analyst for 3M’s business and commercial services division.
  • Laura (Manne) Fischer (LS) married her high school sweetheart, Greg Fischer, April 19, 2008 in Oconomowoc.
  • Gabriel Graf (LS) formerly of Algoma, earned a master’s degree in geology from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. Now living in Nevada, he is an underground mine geologist with Newmont Mining Corp.
  •  Edja (Peto) Graunke (B) and Dale Graunke welcomed daughter Eva Lynn in August.
  •  Ashley Hatley (EHS) and Pete Caruso, Jr., ’07 (LS) were married in August. Ashley is executive director of the Black Point Historic Preserve, a museum in Lake Geneva.
  • Dawn Rost (MBA) is a senior financial analyst for Lawrence University.
  • Jeffery Shimon (LS) will be celebrating his two-year anniversary with the Baraboo Police Department in June. He is a patrol officer.
  • Laura (Dibley) Steinbacher (MBA) recently married Leroy Steinbacher and moved to Rochester, N.Y., for a promotion to associate brand manager of Voila with Birds Eye Foods. (5-1-08)
  • Audrey (Baader) Traun (LS) of Kellogg, Minn., married Sam Traun on June 7, 2008. They have a son, Charlie Joseph Traun, born Oct. 11, 2007.
  • Matthew Wanta (N) recently obtained his certified legal nursing consulting license and formed his own business for legal medical consulting.  He is also a wide float/resource nurse in Ridgecrest, Calif. and  a clinical instructor and lead teacher for the medical assistant course at Cerro Cosso College.
  • Lauren Young (EHS) teaches in the Desert Sands School District in La Quinta, Calif., at one of the largest high schools in the Coachella Valley.



  • Gale Dobratz (LS) is a marketing consultant for Big Apple Bagels’ corporate office in Chicago.
  • Paul Gordon (LS) and Jennifer Zobrak ’06 (B) were married Sept. 29. Paul works for Horizon Fitness, while Jennifer works for Duluth Trading Company in Madison.
  •  Melissa Hunt (LS) is a community development specialist for the Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation. She will provide community development services for the Village of North Fond du Lac, City of Ripon, and City of Waupun.
  • Colleen (Reilly) Kasmarick (LS) and Joel Kasmarick were married in July in Mequon.
  • Melissa (Tredo) LaFountain (EHS) is a teacher at Shawano Middle School. She is a cancer survivor, mother of 1-year-old Nolan, and widow of husband Joseph who passed away in a motorcycle accident.
  • Elizabeth Mayes (LS) works for the mental health department of Washington County Human Services.
  • Stefanie Peterson (B) and ’06 MBA, of Clifton Gunderson’s office in Oshkosh, has earned her certified public accountant certification.
  • Tyler Rankin (LS) volunteered with AmeriCorps as an assistant case manager at a Phoenix, Ariz., homeless shelter in 2005. He encourages his fellow alumni to volunteer for a non-profit organization to see the world from a different view. Today, Rankin is a claims specialist with Sentry Insurance.
  • Kristin Schaller (LS), who graduated from UW-La Crosse with a master’s degree in clinical exercise physiology, is employed in cardiac rehabilitation at St. Joseph’s Baptist Hospital in Tampa, Fla.
  • David Shamsi (LS) recently returned to Texas after serving 15 months on the 1st Squadron, 7th Cavalry, in Iraq.
  • Eden Weller (B) is a customer and market research analyst at J. J. Keller & Associates Inc. in Neenah.



  •  Adam Ault(B) is an equity analyst with the State of Wisconsin Investment Board. He is engaged to marry Sandra LeCloux (EHS).
  • Ryan Collier (B) is manager at Accenture in its infrastructure consulting practice.
  • Krisstina (Justinger) Ebner (LS) and (B) joined the business practice group for Godfrey & Kahn in the firm’s Milwaukee office. She received her law degree, magna cum laude, from Marquette University Law School.
  • Becky (Stark) Geppert (LS) graduated in December, 2008 from UW-Milwaukee with a Master’s Degree in Social Work and an emphasis in Gerontology. She is working for Waukesha County Health and Human Services.
  • Annie (Wegenke) Groenewold (EHS) received her master’s in education from UW-Stevens Point and is an elementary school teacher for the Westfield School District.
  • Jeremy Johnston (LS) of Crystal, Minn., and his wife, Heidi, were married May 31, 2008. He is enrolled at Bethel Seminary obtaining a master’s in divinity.
  • Kristy Kintop (B) is human resources manager at Newtek Electronic Payment Processing in Milwaukee.
  • Jamie (Supita) Mandigo (LS) is a dentist at Marshfield Clinic’s Chippewa Falls Dental Center, with her father, Dr. Joel Supita ’77 (LS). She earned her dentistry degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry.
  • Jennifer (Williams) Miller (LS) received her doctorate in audiology from UW-Stevens Point. She is a doctor of audiology at Greater Milwaukee Otolaryngology.
  • Ryan Reilly (LS) and his wife, Laura, were married July 26, 2008 at the Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake. Reilly is a third-year law student at Marquette Law School.
  • Rebekah (Weiss) Sell (LS) a freelance designer, moved with her husband and daughter to her family’s farm to begin their dream of creating an organic, family-friendly operation that produces grass-fed poultry, eggs, milk and high-end cheeses.
  • Jessica (Edblom) Thomsen (N) received the Lillian Wald New Public Health Nurse of the Year Award. She lives in Dorchester, Wis., with her husband and daughter.



  •  Steve Behnke (LS) of Los Angeles, Calif., earned top honors at the 2008 Telly Awards for his TLC Discovery Communications, Inc. co-branded promo campaign for “Jon & Kate Plus 8/Horton Hears a Who.” In 2007, he won two bronze awards and the Promax World Gold Award, one of the highest honors in the promotions field.
  • Jacob DeMelle (LS) is a physician assistant in the urology department at Marshfield Clinic’s Minocqua Center.
  • Sada (Mertes) Kempf (LS) is marketing senior associate with Clifton Gunderson in Oshkosh.
  • (LS) and ’06 (EHS) Joanna McKasy, a middle school science teacher in La Belle, Fla., joined the board of directors of Caloosahatchee River Citizens Association RiverWatch, an organization that promotes sustainable river/water issues through southwest Florida.
  • Jeffrey Meyers (MBA) of Plover, Wis., is vice president-commercial lending with WoodTrust Bank.
  • ohn Muraski (MBA) co-founded Praxilient Process Project Control Management Services, a management consulting company with nearly 30 consultants. The Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce selected Muraski one of 2007’s 25 People You Should Know in 2007.
  • Laura (Hahn) Palzkill (LS) who graduated from UW-Whitewater with a master’s degree in corporate communication in August, married Chad Palzkill and works for the American Cancer Society in Pewaukee.
  • ‘03 (B) and ’07 (MBA) James Rennes and his wife, Jessica, welcomed their first child, Adeline in 2008.
  • Sheria (Grice) Robinson (N) who completed a dual master’s program in nursing and health administration, was promoted within Hospice of Michigan’s corporate offices as a project specialist.
  • Jerry Schuetz (MPA) is chief of the Milton Police Department.
  • Katie Tenpas (B) who works as a marketing coordinator for Signicast Corp., recently was engaged to Scott Draeger.
  • Jayne (Steffek) Vosters (EHS) and husband Troy welcomed their first daughter, Abigail, in October. Jayne graduated magna cum laude from Marian College in 2007 with a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction. She is a high school history teacher in the Kimberly Area School District.
  •  Nate Weyenberg (B) and Tammy Evers were married Sept. 19, 2008 in De Pere. Nate is a small business specialist at Chase Bank in Green Bay.



  • Kris Achterberg (LS) is a purchasing manager at Curwood, a division of Bemis, in Oshkosh.
  • Jamie Bartol (EHS) and ’08 (MS), Penny Graham ’08 (MS), Jen Kouba ’08 (MS), and Kelley Thrasher ’08 (MS), all first grade teachers at Clay Lamberton Elementary School in Berlin, recently presented “We are More than a Flesh-Colored Crayon” at the National Association of Multicultural Education Conference in New Orleans.
  • Beverly Britt (N) has been promoted to the rank of Captain in the United States Air Force. She was stationed at the Freedom Hospital in Kirkuk, Iraq from January-May 2008 and is currently stationed at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.
  • Roberta (Keup) Bruhn (MS) received her doctorate in epidemiology from the University of Arizona on May 17,2008.
  • Brian Burmeister (MPA) of Menasha is senior vice president of physician services at ThedaCare.
  • Jaclyn (Dorner) Fauk (B) who relocated to Denver, Colo., joined Coors Brewing Company as supply chain manager.
  • Sara Fugarino (LS) of Saint Paul, Minn., welcomed a daughter, Lola, on October 26, 2007. She is pursuing a doctorate in culture and teaching at the University of Minnesota
  • Erik Leiter (LS) and Nicole (Fowler) Leiter ’97 (LS) welcomed a son, Carson, in September.
  • Kathryn MacLean (LS) recently was published as first author on an article in the Journal of Family Practice Re-Certification. The topic of the article was mobility counseling and physician involvement in the process of driving cessation. MacLean graduated in August with a master’s in social work from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Mo.
  • Tim Milbrath (LS) and Allie Orzech ’04 (LS) were married in September in Waukesha. They reside in Milwaukee, where Tim works for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and Allie for Stark Investments.
  • Rebecca Scipior (N) a unit supervisor at Missions Hospitals in Asheville, N.C., is a mother of two.
  • Lisa (Hahn) Speidel (LS) of Clinton, graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin with a degree in family medicine and obstetrics. She also received the Dr. Victoria A. Vollrath Award in family medicine.
  • Jonathan Weir (LS) who started his own video production company in 2004, is producing training videos for construction projects throughout eastern Wisconsin.
  • Mary (Evens) von der Ehe ’02 (LS) and ‘08 (MBA) married Jim von der Ehe July 12, 2008 in Waukesha.



  •  Kimberly (Vogt) Anderson (LS) and husband, Kyle, welcomed their first child, Lucas, Aug. 6.
  • Carrie (Krisak) Baylis (LS) will graduate from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysberg with a Masters of Divinity. On March 8, she and Philip had their first child, Emmy Lorraine Baylis.
  • Amy (Glasheen) Behrendt (LS) and husband, Jerry, welcomed their first child, Peyton, May 2.
  • Jodi (Schneider) Cecil (LS) is head of the community relations department at Upland Hills Health, a 25-bed, critical access hospital in Dodgeville.
  • Lewis Pagel (LS) has moved to the Alaskan Arctic to practice chiropractic in an Eskimo village.
  • Robert Reeves (B) works in engineering at Manitowoc Ice Inc. He married Laura (Tomchek) Reeves in July.
  • Randy Reysen (EHS), a social studies/sociology teacher at West Bend West High School received the 2008 Rolfs Foundation Award for excellence in teaching.
  • Lisa Saunders (EHS) ordained to the holy order of priests in the Episcopal Church in December, serves at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Lafayette Square in Washington, D.C. (5-1-08)
  • Arthur Schultz (EHS) who completed his student teaching overseas, now manages three departments at Roxby Downs Schools in Australia.
  • Ryan Thompson (B) is an attorney for Silton Seifert Carlson S.C. His practice consists primarily of general business, trademark and employment law.



  •  Joseph Bartz (LS) played Igor Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring in Utrecht, Holland. The concert was broadcast on Dutch radio and Norwegian television, and was webcast over the Internet. Bartz continues to freelance in Germany and also teaches music. He plans to finish his second post-graduate degree at the Music Academy in Cologne.
  • Danae (Lyons) Deppiesse (EHS) of Oshkosh, and her husband, Will, welcomed a daughter, Kiara Lillian, on January 24, 2008.
  • Matthew Dillenburg (B) and his wife, Judy, welcomed their second child, Katelyn Julia, on March 18, 2008. Matthew was is senior application engineer at Thrivent Financial in Appleton.
  • Greg Flanagan (LS) and Marie Martin (LS) ’01 recently became engaged and reside in Minneapolis, where Greg is project manager at Internet Broadcasting and Marie is a senior editor with the USDA’s North Central Region Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program.
  • Deborah Menacher (MPA) is deputy county administrator for Marathon County.
  • Darlene Ramsey '00 (EHS) and '02 (MSE) is a teacher for the North Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention programs.
  • Adrienne (Volz) Schneider (EHS) is principal of MacArthur Elementary School in Germantown.
  • Scott Thomsen (LS) and ’00 Elisabeth (Salazar) Thomsen (LS) welcomed their first child, Parker Nolan, August 31, 2008.
  • Kevin Ulwelling (LS) who resigned as athletics director at Newman University, has a management position with Midwest Single Source, a Wichita-based business.
