Finding footing in the final four weeks

Dare I say it’s been a quiet week? Surprisingly, I’ve had some time to relax, workout and lounge around this week.

i just haven’t had too many “pressing” issues, not to say there aren’t things I could or should be doing.

I know I shouldn’t get used to relaxing because the last four weeks are going to be crazy. While I’ve still been hot on the job trail, event planning has been consuming much of my time.

To the best of my ability, I’m trying to accommodate both sides of my family for all the commencement festivities. We are thinking about going to the commencement brunch at Blackhawk for sake of ease. Or, we might select a restaurant in Oshkosh.

Then there’s my graduation party May 29, along with other friends’ parties. Lastly, there’s my best friend’s bachelor party in the Wisconsin Dells June 4-6 followed by his wedding June 19. Phew. My conclusion is that I need to check a few things off of my to-do list this weekend.

My goals for the weekend include:

•    Start writing the first draft of my honors thesis paper.
•    Make more progress on the Reeve Union Board end of the year report.
•    Book hotel reservations for my best friend’s bachelor party.
•    Get a hair cut.

Countdowns:

•    Days until commencement: 29
•    Number of exams left in college: five
•    Number of hours left in class: 25
