'Almost Alumni' Lunch set for May 4
While in three short weeks I’ll be physically leaving the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, my experience here will always occupy a special place in my heart.
Not to get all emotional here, but I’m sure many soon-to-be alumni can relate to this feeling.
One benefit of working at integrated marketing and communications is the people I’ve meet (which I mentioned in An evolving perspective and University).
Specifically speaking about alumni, I now understand why almost every UW Oshkosh alumni I talk to is so passionate about this University; it’s an endless resource and truly can transform lives. It has transformed mine.
On that note, it’s a little depressing to leave something that has given me so much. If nothing else, I will stay connected with UW Oshkosh after May 15 through Alumni Relations.
Do you plan to stay connected to UW Oshkosh? If you want to learn more, check out the ‘Almost Alumni’ lunch 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Tues. May 4 at the Pollock Alumni House (on Algoma Boulevard across from Albee Hall) served up by the UW Oshkosh Alumni Association.
It’s a free lunch with the opportunity to win a diploma frame or an alumni sweatshirt – not a bad deal. Those who pre-register for the event (by e-mailing alumni@uwosh.edu) receive a free gift upon arrival.
Countdowns:
• Days until commencement: 22
• Number of exams left in college: five
