In April, the Milwaukee Business Journal named him in its “Forty under 40” feature, which recognized dynamic young business leaders. As the vice president/management supervisor at Cramer-Krasselt Public Relations, the largest advertising/public relations firm in Milwaukee, Feld has handled publicity and marketing for companies, such as AirTran Airways, Best Buy, Briggs & Stratton, H&R Block and Maytag.
Jeffery LaVicka '99
At just 40 years old, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh alumnus Jeffery LaVicka took the bench this week as one of the youngest federal judges in the nation.
Prior to his lifetime appointment as an administrative law judge in Morgantown, W. Va., LaVicka, a radio-TV-film major, served as an assistant U.S. attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice. He will be among the nine UW Oshkosh alumni honored during an annual awards dinner held Friday, Oct. 22, as apart of Homecoming 2010 activities.
Jamal Scott '97
University of Wisconsin Oshkosh alumnus Jamal Scott ’97, of Tinley Park, Ill., is on the higher-education fast track. Shortly after earning a doctorate in organizational leadership from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, Scott became president of DeVry University’s Tinley Park Campus and Centers in November 2009.
Brenda Hicks-Sorensen '88
A strong educational foundation from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh helps alumna Brenda Hicks-Sorensen ’98, of Fond du Lac, strengthen the region’s economic foundation. Hicks-Sorensen, who majored in sociology, is a certified economic developer and president of the Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation. She recently played a critical role in the effort to keep Mercury Marine jobs in Fond du Lac.
