Gwen Moore

Gwen Moore (D), U.S. Representative from Wisconsin, received her BA from Marquette University in 1978. After serving as a housing officer for the Wisconsin Housing and Development Authority, the Wisconsin State Assembly, and as president pro tempore of the senate, Moore was elected to United States Congress (2005-present). She became the second woman and first African-American to be elected to Congress from Wisconsin. Moore is passionate about fostering economic prosperity and promoting progressive social issues.
