Supervisory Training
As a supervisor, you face challenges of wide variety and deep complexity. Through the expertise of Pamela Lassiter, Director of Equity and Affirmative Action, and Karen King, Associate Professor of Public Administration, a series of highly participatory discussion sessions are being offered. The series consists of two half-day sessions, designed to assist all supervisors with issues they face.
SESSION #1 Contextual Issues
The first session will revolve around contextual issues, e.g., working in a public sector institution of higher education, organizations as systems, and emotional intelligence, among other topics.
SESSION #2 Compliance Concerns
The second will be about compliance concerns, e.g., conflict management, performance appraisals, and sexual harassment, among other topics.
Session one needs to be completed before attending session two; participants who complete both sessions will receive a certificate of attendance. Participants will be given a binder that will contain materials for the two-session series. A maximum of 20 people can be signed up for each session.
