The Alliance
Mission: To provide a forum for sharing ideas and resources on how best to serve diverse communities.
Another vehicle that promotes campus diversity is the Alliance for Equity and Diversity, which was created in 2003 to provide increased communication among University committees and a common voice to the campus as a whole for issues of equity and diversity.
The Alliance Committee falls under the Chancellor and is composed of the leadership of the various diversity groups: LGBTQ Council/Resource Center and the ADA Advisory Council, 2 tenured Faculty members, student representative, GEC chair, Center for Diversity & Equity Representative, Native American Student Representative, and is chaired by the director of Equity & Affirmative Action.
