Peer Advising Liaisons (PALS)

This means you can rely on PALs to have the answers to many of your questions.

 PALs are returning UW Oshkosh students who care about their fellow students and are committed to helping students reach their college goals. PALs are carefully selected through a formal interview process based on academic criteria, experience, and attitude.

Why do you need a PAL?

There will be many times during college you will have questions that need to be answered, but you may have no idea where to go.  PALS are here for that reason and much more. PALs are students just like you who have been in college for awhile and have asked just about every question you could imagine. If a PAL doesn't know the answer, they will know where to refer you. PALs can also offer support when you feel overwhelmed, frustrated, or confused.

A PAL can help you with ...

• Reading a STAR.
• Holds/Stops on records.
• Finding my advisor.
• Making an appointment with my UARC advisor.
• Adding and dropping a class.
• Repeating classes.
• Registration.
• General Education requirements.

Aaron R. Major: Biology: Healthcare Science Emphasis Minors: Chemistry; Neuroscience What I like about UWO: UW-Oshkosh really gives me the opportunity to develop myself as a person by allowing me to interact with other students and faculty at a more personal level than a huge university, but still maintain that "larger university" feel. It allowed me to follow a personal plan for moving onto the next level of eduction and purse interests such as sports, organization creation, and research.	April Y.
