Erwin G. Ackerman Scholarship

Competition open only to new freshmen Oshkosh residents interested in engineering.

$1,000

Awards are renewed automatically for a total of four semesters, provided that funds are available and the recipients complete at least 12 credits each semester with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 and continue to pursue a pre-engineering curriculum.

Requirements for Consideration

Must be a graduate of an Oshkosh, Wis., high school
Must plan to pursue engineering
Be a new freshman entering UW Oshkosh the summer or fall following high school graduation
Have a strong academic record, particularly in math and science
Submit three (3) letters of recommendation (a math teacher, a science teacher, and a teacher in another academic area)
Submit a statement about your interest in Engineering and career goals
Be admitted to UW Oshkosh
Submit ACT or SAT scores
