Enhanced Academic Excellence Scholarship

All students selected by their school to be Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholars will receive $2,250 ($1,125 each from the state and UW Oshkosh), there is no application needed. To be considered for a UW Oshkosh Enhanced Academic Excellence Scholarship, an application is necessary.

Award

10: $2,000 tuition remission, 50 percent of standard room and board cost (double room and 15-meal plan), $400 book allowance and a $1,500 work opportunity.
5: $2,000 tuition remission and a $1,500 work opportunity.
These awards are in addition to the automatic $2,250 received by all Excellence Scholars.
They are renewable for a total of 8 semesters, provided that the recipient remains eligible for the Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholars Program.

Requirements

MUST be a verified Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholar (determined by the high school)
Be a new freshman entering UW Oshkosh the summer or fall following high school graduation
Be admitted to UW Oshkosh
Submit ACT or SAT scores

Full Cost Limitation

The total value of all scholarships (including non-UW Oshkosh awards) plus federal and/or state grants may not exceed yearly school expenses as determined by the UW Oshkosh Financial Aid Office student budget. If so, the Enhanced Award will be reduced by the amount above costs. This policy helps us to maximize limited funds and award other deserving students.
