Awards are renewed automatically for a total of four semesters, provided that funds are available and the recipients complete at least 12 credits each semester with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 and continue to pursue a pre-engineering curriculum.

Requirements

Reside in the City of Oshkosh, Wisconsin

Declare and pursue an engineering pre-professional curriculum

Be an entering freshman at UW Oshkosh for the fall session

Have a strong academic record, particularly in math and science

Submit a 300-500 word essay discussing your interest in engineering and career goals

Three letters of recommendations: One each from a math teachers, a science teachers, and a teacher in another subject area

Submit ATC (American College Test) scores by the application deadline

Be admitted to UW Oshkosh by the application deadline

Submit an Erwin G. Ackerman Scholarship application
