Welcome to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh!UW Oshkosh is the third largest University in the state of Wisconsin. With a student population of about 13,519, UWO offers more than 60 undergraduate majors. We are also a participating Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP) institution, which provides a special tuition rate for Illinois students. The City of Oshkosh itself has a population of about 66,300. We are known as "Wisconsin's Event City," hosting more than 1,000 events each year. Our campus is located along the Fox River and as a student you can take free public transportation anywhere in the city for access to a variety of entertainment, shopping and dining locations. |
What is the Midwest Student Exchange Program?
The Midwest Student Exchange Program allows students in participating states (Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska and North Dakota) to attend UW Oshkosh with reduced tuition. The goal of MSEP is to provide students with affordable opportunities to attend out-of-state institutions. The numbers below indicate a savings for MSEP students of more than $4,400 per year from typical out-of-state tuition.
Note: Some exceptions for MSEP apply to students accepted into the traditional undergraduate nursing program at UW Oshkosh.

There's no way we could include all the great things about UW Oshkosh on one webpage (who has time to read that, anyway?). It's actually pretty difficult to even convey everything about UWO online at all. We know you'll have questions or maybe don't even know quite what to ask. And that's OK! You're not alone. I suggest coming to visit campus if you can. That's one of the main factors students cite as making the most impact on their decision of where to attend a university. It's all about fit. Come try us out by visiting campus during one of our specialized MSEP Visit Days. We are offering two visits this fall: October 14 and November 9. If these dates don't work, you can always come for a campus tour and appointment Monday — Friday. I'm happy to meet with you at your convenience. In the mean time, you can contact me at any time with your questions. Or you can check out some of our Admissions social media sites. Best of luck on your college search! |
