Freshmen Scholarships

UW Oshkosh highly values students who have achieved outstanding academic and leadership success. Scholarships are one way the University recognize high achievement. The following scholarships are available for incoming freshmen.

UW Oshkosh Enhance Academic Excellence Scholarship

(10) $2,000 tuition remission, 50% of standard room and board (double room and 15-meal plan), $400 book allowance, $1,500 work opportunity (5) $2,000 tuition remission and $1,500 work opportunity The above awards are in addition to the automatic $2,250 received by all Excellence Scholars Renewable for a total of 8 semesters pending continued eligibility.		Applicants must have been selected by their high school to participate in the State of Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholars Program. Be admitted to UW Oshkosh as a first-year student and have submitted ACT/SAT scores. Submit an Enhanced AES Award application. Submit a summary of school extracurricular activities and community involvement. Submit a 1-2 page essay about a significant accomplishment or event in your life. Application	April 15

Chancellor's Freshman Academic Scholarship

Chancellor's Freshman Leadership Scholarship

Citizens First Credit Union Scholarship

Must be members of Citizens First Credit Union (can be a new member to qualify).

To be eligible for membership, students must live or work in Winnebago, Outagamie, Calumet,
Fond du Lac or Waushara counties; or the City of Berlin or the Townships of Berlin or Brooklyn, all
located in Green Lake County; or be a member of the Pickett Co-op.

Must have a cumulative high school grade point average of at least 3.3 (on a four-point scale).
Must have been involved in school AND community activities.
Must be high school seniors accepted for admission to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
Must enroll at UW Oshkosh for the fall term immediately following high school graduation.

Must earn a minimum first semester grade point average of 3.0 and complete at least 12 credits at UW Oshkosh.

Lucille V. and Ray J. Tack Scholarship

Must enroll for a minimum of 12 credits each semester of the freshman year and meet with Michele once each semester while receiving the award

National Merit Finalist Scholarships

Diversity in Journalism Scholarship

$500 minimum		Must be a minority as defined by federal affirmative action guidelines (see application form). Must be incoming freshman or a new transfer student. Must have demonstrated intent to pursue a career in journalism through participation in high school, college and/or other news media. Must declare journalism as his or her major, and demonstrate the potential for academic achievement at UW Oshkosh. Must describe in an essay of about 500 words you interest in participating in student media or other news media while at UW Oshkosh in order to enhance you preparation for a career in journalism. Financial need may be considered as a deciding factor after other criteria are met.	April 1

Geology Scholarship
