Opportunities Outside the Classroom

Academic growth in the classroom is best complimented by practical experience outside the classroom. Whether you are going into nursing, criminal justice, art or athletic training, there are multiple opportunities for you to put your classroom knowledge into action.

Last year, more than 1,400 UW Oshkosh students experienced new opportunities outside the classroom through internships, clinicals and study abroad programs. What will you do?

Get practical experience for your future career, build your network of connections and give yourself an edge after graduation.

If you are a nursing, athletic training, kinesiology, education or medical technology student, a vital part of your education is to complete a clinical placement and understand specific facets of your future career through hands-on experience.

Student Teaching

If you are an education student, student teaching in your final semester is an invaluable experience. Do you want to experience teaching outside of the U.S.? Complete your student teaching requirement in countries around the world like Australia, England, Spain, Czech Republic, and others.
