The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Document Services' goal is to offer the services you need, quickly and economically. To that end, we strive to continually study services and make production changes. While improving process and procedure, we emphasize the need for all of our customers to understand our policies and procedures.
Policies and Procedures
All duplicating and related equipment in Document Services is property of the State of Wisconsin and as such, may only be used for the production of materials related to University programs, services and purposes. No private work may be done for individuals, regardless of whether or not they are members of the University community.
- Turnaround Time

On the bottom of every Printing Work Order, you must provide the date and time you need your work completed.

Allow a 24-hour turnaround time. (we must be notified one week in advance of documents which are over 4,000 impressions)

Any Printing Work order sent through Intercampus Mail should expect a 24-hour turnaround.

- Copy Preparation

All documents must be sent to us in ready to copy form.

HARD COPY
-
Send loose sheets on 8-1/2" x 11", 8-1/2" x 14", or 11" x 17" only! (Onion paper will not be accepted)

Do NOT send stapled materials.

Do NOT send bound books.

Do NOT send taped or glued originals.

ELECTRONIC FILES

PDFs preferred
-
Electronic files are preferred for color printing and half tones (gray-scale).

Copy quality of duplication.

Colored paper originals are difficult to duplicate on our Black and White high-speed copiers.

if your originals have light gray half-tones, please write 1/2 TONES on the top of the Printing Work Order.
- Finished Copies

Errors found when you receive your finished copies.

If you feel that your job was not properly duplicated, you must return the originals, Printing Work Order, and all of the copies to Document Services.
- We will then discuss and decide how the job as run, and how we can rectify the stitutation.
(Otherwise your originals will be run the way they come into our department. Please note that all originals will come out top to bottom if we receive them Top-to-Top, on landscape originals. This is how the machine runs it.)

If you want certain pages run Back-to-Back and others Single-Sided, you must attach a Post-it notes to these documents, notifying us about these exceptions. (If your originals are already Back-to-Back, you must note this on the Printing Work Order.)

Please remember that even though you know how you want something run, we cannot read minds. Therefore, we will run the originals the way that they come into this department, unless specific instructions are on the Printing Work Order.
