The Sponsored Programs Office is responsible for entering awards into the University financial accounting system and notifying investigators of the terms and conditions of their awards.

Her office will then schedule a meeting to go over all the terms, conditions, reporting, and accounting requirements specific to your grant and funding agency. In attendance will be Linda, yourself, and Co-PI's if there is one, the Grants Accountant, and your Program Assistant if you find it will be helpful to you to have them there. When you receive an award, you will be assigned a grant accountant. They are responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of your account. They are also responsible for any final fiscal reporting requirements.
An account will be set up, deadlines, regulations and requirements will be discussed, and paperwork started for any payroll transactions needed to pay people for the course of the grant.
Your grant will also be reported as required to the University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents, and a press release will be issued if you'd like that done.
This website is intended to serve as a guide to policies, procedures, and reporting associated with your award, award review and acceptance, award modifications and final report requirements.
