Using the Built-in Firewall: Windows XP
Utilizing the Firewall in Windows XP.
Windows XP Service Pack 2 has a built-in firewall, this will show you how to start or stop the firewall. If your computer is has Service Pack 2 installed the firewall will be turned on by defult.
To open the Firewall control panel:
- Click Start
- Choose Settings then Control Panels
- Open Windows Firewall
- Turn the firewall On or Off buttons and click OK for it to take effect.
