Enabling Macro Protection Word and Excel

This document explains how to enable Macro Protection in Microsoft Word and Excel for Mac.

 

Instructions for Word running on a Mac system:

  1. Start Word.
  2. Click on Word and select Preferences.
  3. Click once on the General category listed on the left-hand side of the window to highlight it.
  4. Place a check in the box next to Macro Virus Protection.

Instructions for Excel running on a Mac system:

  1. Start Excel.
  2. Click on Excel and select Preferences.
  3. Click once on the General category listed on the left-hand side of the window to highlight it.
  4. Place a check in the box next to Macro Virus Protection.
  5. Click on OK to close out of the preferences menu.
