Changes for Help Desk and an addition for Computer Imaging and Deployment team

Michelle Loker has assumed the role of Help Desk Manager.

Michelle has worked for the IT division since 2004. She advanced from purchasing support to providing training for campus staff, primarily in MS Office. Michelle also provides Plone training and support, as well as Essential Skills Training to all newly hired Classified/University Staff. She will continue her current duties, as well as managing the Help Desk.

 

Erik May has assumed the role of FootPrints Database Administrator.

Erik has worked for Academic Computing since 2001. He started as a Desktop Support Technician and followed that as the Help Desk manager for the past couple of years. He will administer the Help Desk software system (FootPrints), assist with Help Desk and Lab management; as well as providing computer and peripheral quotes.

 

David LaCount has accepted a permanent, full-time position in Windows Deployment.

David, who has worked for Academic Computing as an intern and LTE, has accepted a permanent, full-time position in Windows Deployment. As he did as an LTE, he will create, maintain, and automate all windows images on campus.  These images significantly reduce the time needed to setup a computer.  Other duties will include compiling, preparing, and analyzing data on computer and imaging use on campus
