Issue discovered syncing TitanApps to Mesmerize phone (a.k.a. Samsung Galaxy S)
When adding an account, the phone completely reads the entered information wrong, and erroneously creates an account. It should be firstname.lastname@example.org, but instead, it creates email@example.com (which doesn't exist). You can't remove it because it replaces the system account (the account you use when you register and set up the phone), and no further accounts can be added, because the phone is already querying the server for the account that doesn't exist, and locks everything up.
