Adobe Products and The Creative Cloud

Expected release on campus is end of February.

The campus, with assistance from UW System that reduced costs, has signed a site license for Adobe Creative Cloud! This will provide access to over 20 Adobe applications for every campus-owned computer, including Acrobat Pro, Illustrator, PhotoShop, InDesign, to name only a few.

Adobe's Creative Cloud is a different type of license and technical requirements for us. We've had several conference calls and web updates with Adobe to help us understand the requirements and processes. We have a team of IT and other staff working out the details and testing the processes.

We want to let the campus know this is in progress and ask your patience on requests for Adobe products. We believe we'll be able to support full campus release by the end of February.

The license does not include student copies, but it does permit an employee work-at-home option for $19.95 per year. That purchase can be made through the Wisconsin Integrated Software Catalog (WISC item 66915). That is available now.

We will keep you informed. Look for more information in about two weeks, which will be the results of our alpha test.
