Adobe Creative Cloud on Campus

Adobe Creative Cloud will be available in GCA Labs this fall

Earlier this year a team was formed to work out how to provide the new site license of Adobe Creative Cloud to campus computers and users. The purpose of the project was to deploy Adobe Creative Cloud to campus in order to provide specific software packages to users based on their work needs. Set the processes, procedures, standards and documentation for this deployment.

The project is complete, so I am providing the campus with this final report. We are still working on the next steps listed in the report, though, #3 of that list has already happened with the release of Adobe Creative Cloud 14. If you would like your version updated, please contact the Help Desk (helpdesk@uwosh.edu or 424-3020).

We are working on lab deployment, so Creative Cloud will be in all of the general student computer labs this fall. We are waiting to hear from Adobe about their online storage and collaboration options. We are also working on ways to automate installation, making it easier to fulfill customer requests. And I'm hoping to use this email notification and the final report to "confirm with stakeholders and campus users that they feel they have sufficient training available for these applications."

My thanks to the entire project team and especially our project manager, James Wiciak, and our technical lead, Ryan Van Scyoc. If you have feedback on the project, final report, or training, please let me know.
