Newer versions of the software above will not be released to the campus until they have been tested by Academic Computing to make sure they are compatible with the other standard campus software.
Transitions to most recent versions of software can take time, so support for one version below what is listed is possible. However, all campus users are encouraged to upgrade in a timely manner.

Unsupported Software
All other software will be considered non-supported. While we may assist you in installing it, we cannot support it and if it causes problems with the computer our first action will be to remove it.
Distribution and Revisions
The IT Division will periodically review and revise these standards based on emerging desktop technologies and software development. Input on changes to identified software will be sought from the Academic Computing Users Group and other appropriate groups. Modifications will be communicated to departments with sufficient lead-time to allow for migration to new software standards.
