Newer versions of the software above will not be released to the campus until it has been tested to make sure it is compatible with other standard campus software and enterprise systems. For that reason transition to the most recent version of software can take time, so support for one version below what is listed is possible.  However, campus users are encouraged to upgrade in a timely manner.

4. Distribution and Revisions

The IT Division will periodically review and revise these standards based on emerging desktop technologies and software development. Input on changes to identified software will be sought from the Academic Computing Users Group and other appropriate groups. Modifications will be communicated to departments with sufficient lead-time to allow for migration to new software standards.
