The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh SMARTS Program provides academic and personal development courses and activities to help sixth grade students improve their mathematic and reading skills.  The two week residential program is held on the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh campus, and school year follow-through activities are held at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. 

The goal of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee is to help ensure that SMARTS students receive a solid foundation and continuous support in mathematics and reading.  The program objective is to offer learning activities in an educationally-enriched and fun-filled environment, thus leading to better prepared high school students who will be motivated to attend and succeed in college.

Who is eligible? Only students attending the following Milwaukee Public Middle schools are eligible for the SMARTS program: Audubon Technology & Communication, Grand Avenue, Fritsche, Lincoln Center of the Arts, and Roosevelt Creative Arts.
