Resident Assistant/Tutor (RA)

Resident Assistant/Tutor (RA) positions are available for the summer 2004 precollege programs.  These programs include PreCollege Enrichment Program (PEP), Young Entrepreneurial Scholars (YES), Summer Mathematics and Reading Talent Scholars (SMARTS), Wisconsin Youth in Nursing (WYN) and Distance Education for Summer Enrichment Opportunities (DESEO).  RAs provide 24-hour supervision and tutoring in English, mathematics, science, computer science, business and nursing courses to middle and high school students.  RAs must meet the following criteria:

• Have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5.
• Demonstrate experience working with multicultural and disadvantaged populations, ages 11-19.
• Possess a valid driver’s license for one year or more.
• Be able to tutor in two or more courses taught in the precollege curricula.
• Be bilingual in English & Spanish if applying for a position in the DESEO program.
