PreCollege Enrichment Programs (PEP)

Dates: July 9, 2011 - July 15, 2011; Grades 8, 9, 10, 11, 12

PEP provides academic and personal development courses and activities to help students prepare for college.

 

Areas of study: Mathematics, sections ranging from introduction to algebra through precalculus; English/literature, to improve reading and writing competencies; introduction to computers, learn basic computer skills and programs (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint); health and wellness, learn how to live a healthy lifestyle and have fun doing it; multicultural awareness, learn the history of different ethnic groups; career exploration, explore different careers based on interests and hobbies; study skills, learn notetaking and textbook reading strategies to help students study more effectively.
