Summer 2009 Financial Aid

Students who wish to take classes during the Summer 2009 term can apply for financial aid. In order to receive the aid, the students must:

What Financial Aid is available for Summer school?

Students are eligible for the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP - Stafford Loan). The amount that is borrowed in the summer counts towards the total amount of Stafford Loan eligibility for the academic year.

Are there grants or scholarships available for Summer school?

Not usually. In certain cases a student who is Pell Grant eligible may be able to receive a summer Pell Grant.

Do I need to be enrolled for summer courses before I apply for Summer Financial Aid?

Yes. If you are not enrolled and you submit the UW Oshkosh Request for Summer Financial Aid we will not be able to award you aid for the summer until you are enrolled.
